Food is an essential part of any vacation, and both Ibiza and Mallorca have plenty of delicious dishes to offer. However, this category sees Mallorca winning against Ibiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>Ibiza Food<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ibiza&#8217;s cuisine is influenced by its Mediterranean location, and its dishes are fresh and flavorful.<\/strong> The island is famous for its seafood, and you can indulge in dishes like grilled octopus, paella, and fresh fish. Ibiza also has several local specialities, like sobrasada, a cured sausage made from pork, and ensaimada, a sweet pastry.<br><br>We found the food in Ibiza to be a clich\u00e9 of traditional Spanish dishes but without a proper Balearic identity. Seems that the fact that the island lives in tourism all year round makes their cuisine mix with Westernised food and quick bites more than <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/italiantripabroad.it\/Blog\/summer-in-spain\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"22594\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><span style=\"color: var(--stk-global-color-27229, #003f48);background: linear-gradient(to bottom, transparent 50%, var(--stk-global-color-27309, #cce5ea) 50%)\" class=\"stk-highlight\">traditional Spanish plates<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. As said, our perception of the <strong>local mallorquinos food was a blend of Catalan, Valencian and, in some ways, North African influences.<\/strong><br><br>The island is famous for its ensaimada, a sweet pastry that is usually eaten for breakfast. Mallorca&#8217;s cuisine also features dishes like a trumpet, a vegetable casserole, and frito mallorqu\u00edn, a meat and vegetable stew. <strong>We had some of the best prawns cooked in a clay pot and served still boiling on our table. It was fantastic to sail and watch a pretty sunset. Catamaran tour are inexpensive, and a nice way to make friends enjoying your holidays.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" data-block-type=\"core\"><strong>Outdoor Activities and Attractions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We don&#8217;t have a clear winner for this category. However, we visited Mallorca twice, in summer and winter, and it was fantastic in both seasons. Ibiza, instead, was mostly in summer<strong>. Both Mallorca and Ibiza offer a wealth of outdoor activities and attractions to explore.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mallorca is perfect for hikers and cyclists with its stunning trails and routes in the <strong>Tramuntana Mountains<\/strong> and coastal cliffs.
