Hunting the next bestseller, walking along with the oldest and most precious books, the outer part of this building is just stunning. So lose yourself inside and get off your creativity.

Old Town Bridge Tower

Considered one of the top photography locations in Prague for a reason, the old town bridge is an incredible gothic monument built in the late 14th century by King Charles IV. 

If you want the best lights, you should go there before sunset. Wait until the lights are turned on and enjoy the beautiful skyline, transforming the city into a lovely postcard.

To go up and enjoy the lovely view you need to buy a ticket which will cost you 100 CZK – less than £4. During summer, they open at 10 am and close at 10 pm; during winter, they close at 6 pm. 

Old Town Square 

This is one of the most famous and instagrammed spots in Prague; if you wish to have your pictures taken, we suggest you plan your day with a sunrise photo shoot. It’s almost only possible to take pictures in the old town square with someone around. Home of the Astronomical clock, the old town square offers many opportunities for your Instagram pictures. Make sure you wear something colourful for your pictures to stand out.

Old Town Hall Tower

Looking for one of the best views in Prague? The Old Town Hall Tower is absolutely worth adding to your Czech Republic Itinerary!

The entrance is 250 CZK which is the equivalent of £8 more or less, depending on the exchange rate. From the top, you will have a beautiful skyline of this gorgeous city.

This spot is perfect for taking photos of Prague, but remember that this place can get very crowded, and you won’t be able to take any good pictures.

Astronomical Clock

The sightseeing of Prague is always busy, and sometimes there is a need for more available tickets to get on the top. It is considered the third oldest astronomical clock in the world, which is still working. Another gorgeous spot you can’t miss is the John Lennon Wall, which is perfect for your street photography itinerary. We didn’t plan to visit the John Lennon wall, but we turned into the wrong street and found the wall. Pretty cool, isn’t it? 

Located not far from Charles Bridge in Mala Strana, it’s a must-see during your itinerary in Prague. So why is it called John Lennon Wall? It started when people filled the Wall with John Lennon graffiti and pieces of lyrics from the Beatles songs.

Letna Hill

Letna Hill is another viewpoint in Prague that you should consider visiting. One of the reasons why you should climb the hill is because it offers one of the best views in Prague. Thanks to its amazing view, it is considered the right place for your Instagram pictures.

We recommend you to visit the Garden in the early afternoon when the sun is high as you will get the best Prague photos. This is the perfect spot for nature lovers to relax outside of the touristy things to do in Prague.

Smetanovo Nábřeží 

Calling all night photographers and long-exposure lovers, this is the right spot for you. You can snap the stunning Prague Castle and part of the famous Charles Bridge in one picture. 

Petrin Hill

If you’re visiting Prague in autumn, this is the right place. You will have the opportunity to see different colours around this pretty park. Autumn means the leaves are turning yellow, orange and red, which means that this is the right location for your Prague Instagram spots!

Here you can enjoy long panoramic walks along the tree-lined narrow streets. This park is really well known by locals because it has got the highest point in the city.

Yes! Prague is sometimes considered expensive but still cheap compared to other Czech cities. Coming from London, for us, it was really cheap and affordable. In 2 days in Prague, we spent £150, including accommodation, eating out and attractions.

Is Prague Castle free?

Yes! The grounds are entirely free to visit; this includes the gardens, St. Vitus Cathedral, courtyards and more. Some areas instead require a ticket to enter, which you can buy on the spot, but overall, if you wish to visit the castle, you don’t need to pre-book in advance as it’s FREE!  

Is Prague walkable?

Absolutely YES! We managed to stroll around the entire city centre by walking and only taking the tram to reach our accommodation. We stayed here, and it was only 20 minutes away from the main centre.
