For us, London is one of the best spring destinations in Europe. After a long and grey winter, spring in London becomes even more beautiful. When March approaches, it means that it’s starting the cherry blossom season. If you wonder when is the best time to visit London, spring is the ideal season. Thanks to magnolia and cherry blossom colours, the entire city starts to become alive.
We love London, and if you want to spend four days in London, we suggest you make the most of your itinerary and enjoy every corner of this city. Walk around the streets of Mayfair, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Kensington and enjoy the beautiful and colourful surroundings. If you, like us, want to avoid crowds, we suggest visiting Dublin after these dates or around April. This is one of the best reasons why Barcelona attracts so many tourists in Springtime. The beaches of the Catalan Capital are beautiful and you can explore the surrounding little towns. Stroll around the cute and narrow streets of the city centre, enjoy a glass of Porto wine on a beautiful terrace and discover some history through its gorgeous museums.
You can easily plan a day trip from Lisbon and plan at least one day in Porto. Thanks to its amazing landscapes, delicious food and wine, Porto is considered one of the most romantic European cities and you will understand why.

Usually, March and April in Sintra are not that busy; we reached the city by car and managed to find a spot. However, it’s rarely happening, and that’s why we recommend you to take the train instead. Once you reach Sintra, you can rent a bike and stroll around this gorgeous city.
Plan ahead of your day and visit the spectacular gardens and trails of Quinta da Regaleira. Then, walk up to the Pena Palace and don’t forget to snap some pictures as the view from up there is impressive.

Rome, Italy

Alberobello becomes a trendy city during summertime thanks to its cute Trulli (cone shape roof house), but if you’re looking into spending spring in Italy, we suggest visiting Alberobello during March and April. Because it’s a perfect time, not too hot like in summer, but neither crowded, offering you a more intimate experience in this weird old white town in Puglia.

Hamburg, Germany
Spending 2 days in Hamburg will give you enough time to explore this beautiful city. So if you’re asking us which one is the best spring destination in Europe, for sure Hamburg is on the list.
Spending a couple of days around March and April, you will see how the city of Hamburg will be your new favourite place in Germany. Stroll around the historical city centre where “The Beatles” played for the first time, walk along the harbour and admire the stunning Elbphilharmonie.

Athens, Greece

On this occasion, we picked Athens for our spring destinations in Europe as, most of the time, this city is overwhelmed with tourists. However, the right way to enjoy Athens is to travel off-seasons and in this case, the months of March and April are ideal. Considered one of the best times of the year to visit Athens, you will find signs of bloom around every neighbourhood and ancient monuments.
The weather around these months is excellent and not too hot, but at the same time, you will be able to enjoy some cute and secret cherry blossom trees and jasmine flowers.

Thessaloniki, Greece
Staying within Greece and going off the beaten path, leads us to Thessaloniki. The fantastic second city of Greece is often overshadowed by well known and popular locations in Southern Europe. Instead, we explored Thessaloniki on a budget and it was fantastic. The city has vibes, is lively at night, and has buzzling markets where have lunch and dinner is extremely affordable.

Santorini, Greece
Mainly known as a great summer destination, Santorini will surprise you during Spring. The weather is excellent, warm and sunny and in Spring you will find flowers in bloom. The grey weather tends to leave Riga by the end of March; in fact, life returns in April when you see all the people hanging outside and looking for bloom trees.

One of the best places to admire it is in Uzvaras Park. There is a large cluster of cherry trees across the Daugava in Uzvaras Park, and you can’t miss visiting them.

Prague, Czech Republic

You should add Prague to your list of places to visit in Europe because it is incredible and gorgeous, thanks to the cultural heritage and cheap for travellers.
I mean, the historic city centre, the fantastic surroundings and the stunning spring colours will make your dream about Prague. Check out the beautiful bridge Charles I, one of the best in Europe, but also the Astronomical Clock that will surprise you. Brno, Czech Republic
Less touristic than Prague, Brno is the perfect spring destination in Europe. Within a c couple of hours from the capital, you can reach Brno and spend a couple of days in this South Moravian region.
